Hot Keyboard Server Notes
Please read the information below before using Hot Keyboard's network features as they are extremely powerful.
How it works
Hot Keyboard Server is an extension to Hot Keyboard.
If you have several copies of Hot Keyboard running on computers connected to the same network (LAN, WAN, Internet) you can install
Server
software to provide an ability of sharing and synchronizing macros over the network.
New:
- Macro shares over the network (LAN or WAN)
- Immediate updates of macro (when changed by creator) on all computers connected to Hot Keyboard Server
Requirements
Hot Keyboard works under Windows 95/98/ME, Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista or Windows XP/Vista 64
Hot Keyboard server works under Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista only
TCP/IP installed
How to download
Please refer to the
Download page.
How to install
Choose a computer running Windows NT/2000 to be a Hot Keyboard server and
install hkservc.exe. You must have NT Administrator rights.
Note: This computer can also have the client version installed.
Install Hot Keyboard on computers you want to share macros between. Note:
Trial version of Server allows two connected clients only.

Trial limitations
The only limitation of the Trial version is an inability to connect more than two clients simultaneously.

If you are a registered user of more than one copy of Hot Keyboard,
contact us to obtain the proper registration information.

Hot Keyboard Server is included when more than one copy of Hot Keyboard is purchased.
