Beginning from the 3.2 version Hot Keyboard has automatic backup feature.
When Hot Keyboard is started (manually or automatically with Windows) it
backups its current state and all macros into the following file:
C:\Program Files\Hot Keyboard Pro\HKAutoBackup0.hkbackup *
*Hot Keyboard automatic backup file
is located in the folder where the Hot Keyboard executable resides
(i.e. where you installed Hot Keyboard).
If the HKAutoBackup0.hkbackup file already exists when Hot Keyboard
is started, Hot Keyboard renames the existing file to HKAutoBackup1.hkbackup.
If the HKAutoBackup1.hkbackup file exists too, it is renamed to
HKAutoBackup2.hkbackup and so on up to the HKAutoBackup5.hkbackup
file.
Hot Keyboard does not do backup if there already is a backup that was made
today and you don't do significant changes to your macros (i.e. if you add
a lot of new macros Hot Keyboard will make new backup anyway).
If for some reason you need to restore from an automatically created backup,
you can click the ordinary Settings -> Restore settings menu
option and select one of the automatically created backups.
